Comics & Illustration - Illustration and comics are more than just funny characters and advertising, they are the arts of storytelling! In this class students will learn how to create a comic to communicate a story in a visually beautiful, and intriguing way. They will learn that understanding the design principles that go into any work of art apply to sequential and narrative art as well.
Digital Art: Procreate - This class is designed for students who are new to digital art, and want to learn how to get started. Students will learn to use the Procreate App on the iPad to create a series of illustrations designed to introduce them to several different ways of working in a digital medium. The focus of this class is to familiarize the students with the tools, so that after completion of the course, they will feel equipped and empowered to create their own artwork in any digital art software. Note: students must bring their own iPad equipped with Procreate.

Gaining control of these skills further prepares each student for more advanced techniques. Students will also learn techniques to finish their pieces to a hirer level with clay stamps and imprints as well as glazing techniques.
Printmaking - Students will explore from styrofoam boards to linoleum to collagraphs! We experiment with different types of paper, cardboard, ink, paint and collage in this fun art form.
