This class is designed for both teens and adults, in all skill levels. In this group class students will learn drawing and painting techniques to strengthen their understanding of color, light/shadow, and texture. Students can work from photo-reference or still life.

Mondays- ages 10+

Procreate Digital Art 4:15-5:45pm

Wednesdays- Adults (16+)

Procreate Digital Art 6:30-8:30pm

This digital art class is designed both for those brand new to drawing and painting digitally, as well as those comfortable with digital art tools but want to develop their skills further as a digital artist.  Throughout the semester students will have the opportunity to create digital illustrations, graphics, as well as simple animations.  

Tuesdays- ages 12yrs-adult

4:15-6:15pm

In this class, students will learn about gesture drawing, proportions of the human figure and face, volume, light and shading. We will draw from a live model using materials like vine charcoal and newsprint paper. 

Models will be clothed and each class poses will range from 5-30 minutes.

Mondays- ages 3-5yrs

Tuesdays- ages 3-5yrs

This class provides hands on learning for our littlest hands to explore art materials and concepts with less pressure and structure. Limited attention spans and fine motor skills make it difficult to follow our Mixed Media 1 group projects, so this class builds confidence! Immersive sensory projects and hands on activites help dexterity and coordination develop. This is a fun class where its about the process rather than the product.

Thursdays- ages 5-7yrs

4:30-6:00pm

Students are taught step-by-step techniques using pencil, pastel, acrylics, clay, as well as other mixed media, focusing on light/shadow, color, composition, form, and perspective. This is a broad class designed to introduce young students to a wide range of art forms and styles through Art History, encouraging self-confidence and allowing them to find their strengths and interests.

Tuesdays- ages 8-16yrs

 3:30-5:30pm

These classes will allow students to explore a wide range of media and techniques which can include drawing, pastels, oils, watercolor, clay and paper mache sculpture, collage, as well as various printmaking techniques. Individual attention will allow students to follow their interests at their own pace, to further their skill and broaden their horizons.

Wednesdays ages 10+

 4:15-6:15pm

Comics & Illustration will provide the foundational skills to support creative ideas. Drawing techniques, design principles, and character design will be explored, as well as learning about narrative art history to inspire those students drawn to comic art and visual storytelling. Individual attention is given to each student, at their own level and area of interest. This is the perfect class for your child if they love all things anime, web comics, and cartoons.

Thursdays ages 8-17

 4:15-6:15pm

These classes will teach techniques used by old masters throughout art history such as Rembrandt, Monet, and Vermeer. Students will learn to build form using light, shadow, and halftone, to achieve realism. Each student, depending on ability, will work from traditional still life, and photo-reference. The ability to create the illusion of reality provides a means for further self expression in any style.
